Ever want to lose an entire week of your life? Spend some time with a sick baby. Ugh. Bubba is currently on his second round of meds for his sixth ear infection in as many months. The soonest the ENT could get us in to talk tubes was two weeks from now. Ugh. So, yeah. … Continue reading

march 15: small
Tater may be small, but girlfriend is mighty. And naughty. Good grief, is she naughty. And not just regular toddler naughty. Like super mega you’re kidding right naughty. But so dang cute that you can’t help but laugh, even when you know you shouldn’t.
march 14: favorite
I love all of my nieces and nephews, but Miss Moo will forever hold a special place in my heart. I drove all day just to hold her in my arms on the day she was born. And now she’s, like, all grown up. And sassy. And smart. She’s a keeper. I just went to … Continue reading
march 13: color
Bubba spent a ton of time outside this weekend, and all of those sunshine naps gave him just a little bit of color on his cheeks. I also got some color, bringing out my summer freckles. I hope he has freckles. Too soon to tell.
march 12: details
This is Bert, one of my parents’ kitties. I love the details of his tabby coat–the swirls and strips and pattern remind me so much of my sweet Papa. Bertie has a great story. My parents’ house backs up to fields and flood plains and a creek (which we pronounce “crik”). Every so often, wild … Continue reading
march 11: happy place
Grandpa’s number one happy place is a cabin in the Rocky Mountains, listening to the elk bugle and the river rush by. But judging by the look on his face, sharing Sunday morning breakfast with Bubba runs a close second.
march 9 & 10: make/floral

Bubba and I spent a lovely, leisurely weekend in Nebraska visiting Grandpa and Grandma and the combination of the time change and the total disregard for routine has made for an interesting 48 hours. But today was back to work and real life ((sigh)). I can’t quite decide … Continue reading
march 8: young
Moo and Tater absolutely adore Bubba. Moo always asks to hold him and will sit and share her toys with him and hug and kiss him for hours. Tater is fascinated by him and follows him around, pointing and yelling “BAYBEEEEE!!!! BAYBEEE!!!!” She is not a fan of sharing her toys (especially the bunnies she … Continue reading
march 7: sweet
Is there anything sweeter than a sleeping baby? I love his pursed lips and the chub of his cheeks. And in case you were wondering, here’s the wider shot: I’m the mean ol’ mama who makes him nap in his crib. Mr. Phish is the cool dad who lets him nap on the sofa while … Continue reading
march 6: remedy
Bubba is a drooling machine. He has six teeth, all of which arrived within a week’s time late November. But the amount of drool that comes out of that mouth leads me to stick my fingers in there checking every other day for new teeth. He’s like a St. Bernard. With smaller, much more ticklish … Continue reading
