Day 13: Mom
It’s no secret that my mom is one of my all-time favorite people. As I wrote in a prior post, she’s a loud cheerleader and a great support to me. But here’s something you might not know: we don’t always get along. We butt heads every so often, and sometimes there are tears and sharp words. This happens because we are cut from the same cloth. We are two stubborn peas in a pod. I could literally write for days and still not even scratch the surface of what she’s taught me.
My mom is one of the most remarkable, hard-working, passionate human beans I’ve ever met. She’s not perfect, but she is the perfect mom for me. I love her unconditionally, even when she exasperates me. And I know she would say the same about me and each of her four beautiful, exasperating children.
I am so lucky.
